On Wednesday 28th June 2017 we are pleased to be hosting another breakfast event focussing on Disability Access in the built Environment.
The seminar will be delivered Richard Dryden, Associate Director at Turner & Townsend (UK & Eire).
We know that modern estates design and management needs to be inclusive and meet the demands of increasingly sophisticated users with a plethora of different physical and mental abilities:
Richard is Turner and Townsend’s (UK & Eire) national lead for Access and Equality Services. A consultant member of the National Register of Access Consultants Richard is highly noted one of the most qualified access specialists in the UK. He has provided consultancy services at delivery, commission manager and project director levels for a wide variety of clients across a varied range of business sectors and is a proficient in elimination of risks and addressing solutions in the most cost effective way. In addition he has had several articles published in business press and professional journals. Richard is also a Trustee & Company Secretary for Disability Sport Yorkshire CIC, along with regularly undertaking inclusive environment assessments for the Civic Trust.
This seminar, delivered entirely by Richard, will provide practical advice, guidance and understanding on best practice for creating a fully accessible environment. He will talk about some of the projects/estates he has consulted on including how to develop long term accessibility plans which conform to the Equality Act 2010. He will also cover key issues that estate managers, contractors and construction teams should be aware of.
This event would be particularly suitable for estates and facilities directors, service and disability directors, senior leadership teams, key clients, architects, project managers and anyone involved in designing, contracting and managing buildings.
