12:00 registration and networking lunch, 13:00 to 17:30 conference
Squire Patton Boggs, Wellington Place, Leeds

thinkBIM is back and pleased to announce our first conference for 2018 which ties in with Leeds Digital Week. We are one of the only events representing construction and it is our chance to show off how the industry is harnessing digital innovation to create buildings fit for the future.

For this event, we will be bringing you two keynote addresses from teams that have delivered private sector projects digitally in the retail sector.

Keynotes

Adam Ward, from BIM Technologies will be talking about how they worked on the Victoria Gate shopping centre in Leeds. The scheme, delivered by Sir Robert McAlpine utilised federated models to resolve the complex geometry of the envelope of this structure in steel, precast concrete and glass.

John Adams, a Director at BIM Strategy will be talking about the Feethams Development project in Darlington. This mixed use scheme combining a shopping centre, cinema and hotel used digital technologies to successfully deliver a complex, challenging scheme with some major design changes along the way!

Roundtables

Both Adam Ward and John Adams will be running round tables alongside the following;

Anthony Harte -Anthony and the team at James & Ward have delivered over 1 million square feet of new build and remodelled space in BIM since 2009. With particular expertise and over 17 years’ experience in retail architecture, Anthony combines his role as co-director at James & Ward with a secondment in Asda’s Construction Design Standards team where he sits on the BIM Strategy Board supporting the wider understanding internally.

Mark Stodgell – Mark is recognised as one of the UK’s leading BIM and Information Management Consultants, specialising in ‘Digital Estates’ programmes for clients and information security.
