Digital Construction
Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber (CEYH) Digital Construction & Building Information Modelling (BIM) regional strategy is delivered through our award winning thinkBIM network in association with Leeds Beckett University.
About thinkBIM
In late 2009 the membership of Constructing Excellence identified five key strategic issues where there would be value in a better understanding for member companies and the wider industry; of which one was BIM (now Digital Construction). A national task group was formed to review BIM in a strategic way. As a result of those early conversations and the Level 2 mandate on publically procured projects in 2011, Constructing Excellence Yorkshire and Humber (CEYH) started delivering it’s own BIM focussed knowledge exchange events in order to promote benefits, expand uptake and increase technical skills in the region via it’s award winning thinkBIM network. Now in it’s 6th year and with over 2000 regional and national BIM enthusiasts on board, we continue to promote the digitalisation of the construction industry, bringing new technologies, processes to early adopters whilst supporting those companies throughout the full supply chain still in the early days of their BIM journey.
thinkBIM is also the official BIM Region for Yorkshire and Humber
