As part of our run-up to this year’s Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber Awards we are holding a “100 days to the awards” campaign over on our twitter & instagram accounts.
Each day the team will be documenting through pictures what goes in to running our prestigious awards ceremony & counting down to the evening itself. We would love for as many of you to get involved so if you are on twitter or instagram, post your images & tweets with the hashtag #CEYH100 and we’ll retweet/repost as many as we can.
We will be collating all your posts & publishing them after the event as to show how #CEYHAwards 2015 happened!
Addleshaw Goddard, Leeds, 08:00 to 9:30
On 29th April we will be hosting a morning seminar themed around Key Performance Indicators (KPI) & are pleased to be welcoming back Constructing Excellence (CE) CEO, Don Ward to talk about CE’s agenda in this area & why they are important. Constructing Excellence publishes an annual report on KPIs each year with support from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills which maps trends & sets benchmarks across the construction sector. CE members can also track their projects and organisations against these KPIs at KPIzone.com. The latest report, published in late 2014, suggested that challenging economic conditions continue to undermine industry efforts to deliver improved services to clients.
In his presentation, Don will give a summary of the Constructing Excellence vision, which supports the government’s industrial strategy Construction 2025 and seeks to deliver on ambitious targets for sector improvement, together with and an introduction to the value of benchmarking and KPIs.
We are also delighted to have David Widdowson , Head of Asset Programme Management & Finance at Yorkshire Water speaking for us for the first time. David will talk about the background to the Water Benchmarking Club, a project in partnership with CE & Salford University, and an overview of the system. He will also cover the KPI measures used & rationale plus the data & benefits.
